One of Begusarai’s proud son is the revolutionary poet Ramdhari Singh Dinkar Ji, whose patriotic verses made him one of India’s national poets.
Dinkar Ji was elected three times to the Rajya Sabha, and he was the member of this house from 3 April 1952 to 2 April 1964, and was awarded the Padma Bhushan in 1959.
Dr. Kanhaiya Kumar Ji is an Indian political activist who served as the president of the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) Students' Union and leader of the All India Students Federation (AISF). He served as National Executive Council member of Communist Party of India. He joined Indian National Congress on 28 September 2021.
